Mind Space

As students in the UX/UI design bootcamp at Ironhack we had the challenge to create a wellbeing app.

We observed the increasing trend of meditation's popularity and identified a demand for easily accessible and user-friendly apps to support individuals interested in engaging with meditation practices.

We conducted comprehensive user research, including both quantitative and qualitative interviews, to gather insights and feedback. We analyzed this data through affinity diagrams and empathy maps to identify user patterns and needs.

Additionally, we performed a competitive analysis to understand the market landscape, differentiating opportunities, and used these insights to create user personas and a user journey map, informing our app design.

In the Empathize phase, our primary objective is to cultivate a profound understanding of our users and their experiences. To achieve this, we conducted interviews and surveys, widely recognized as effective methods for collecting valuable user insights.

These activities enable us to immerse ourselves in the users' viewpoints, comprehend their challenges, and identify pain points. Ultimately, this leads us to create essential tools like the Empathy Map and User Journey Map, which serve as valuable resources as we transition into the Define phase.

During the define stage, we can develop user personas, construct a user journey map, and ultimately articulate the problem statement.

During the ideation stage, we generate a user flow, construct an affinity map, apply the MOSCOW method, develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and brainstorm ideas using the Crazy Eights strategy.

In the prototyping and testing stage, we produce a mid-fidelity prototype, conduct user testing, design wireframes, and document user feedback.
